James J. Forese 1
Non-Executive Chairman

Mr. Forese was a member of IESI Corporation's board of directors from October 2003 to January 2005. Mr. Forese joined Thayer Capital Partners in July 2003 and currently serves as an Operating Partner and Chief Operating Officer. From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Forese worked for IKON Office Solutions, most recently as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining IKON, Mr. Forese spent 36 years with IBM Corporation, most recentlyas Chairman of IBM Credit Corporation. In addition, Mr. Forese held numerous other positions during his tenure at IBM Corporation including as a senior executive with IBM World Trade Europe/Middle East/Africa and IBM World Trade Americas, President of the Office Products Division, Corporate Vice President and Controller and Corporate Vice President of Finance. Mr. Forese currently serves on the board of directors of Spherion Corporation, Suntron Corporation, and Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. Mr. Forese earned a B.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Keith A. Carrigan
Director

Mr. Carrigan was Chief Executive Officer since June 2000, when the company acquired its assets from Allied Waste Industries, Inc. He was responsible for successfully acquiring, assimilating and improving the operations of BFI after the acquisition. Prior to joining BFI Canada, Mr. Carrigan was involved in the development and/or management of various non-hazardous solid waste management and recycling businesses. Mr. Carrigan has been involved with the solid waste management industry for most of his career, which spans more than 29 years. Most notably, he was Vice President of Waste Management Inc. in the United States, and President of WMI Waste Management of Canada Inc.  Mr. Carrigan continues to remain on as a consultant to Progressive Waste Solutions.

Joseph D. Quarin
Director, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Joseph D. Quarin was appointed Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2012, and joined the Board as a Director in late 2010. Since the Company's founding in 2000, Mr. Quarin has worked closely with Mr. Carrigan, in increasing levels of operational and management responsibility. Prior to being appointed to his current position, Mr. Quarin served as Presdient and Chief Operating Office.  He was Executive Vice President of the company from March 2010, Executive Vice President and Canadian Chief Operating Officer from September 2005 through March 2010, Chief Financial Officer from February 2002 through September 2005, and Vice President, Finance from July 2000 through February 2002.

Prior to July 2000, Mr. Quarin was an associate at NB Capital Partners (now Edgestone Capital Partners) from February 2000 to July 2000, and from June 1995 to January 2000 Mr. Quarin held various positions, including manager, senior manager and Vice President, with KPMG Corporate Finance Inc.
Mr. Quarin has an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business
(Dean’s Honour List), a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University, and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Quarin was recognized in 2004 as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

Michael G. DeGroote Sr. 2 3 
Director

Mr. DeGroote was non-executive Chairman of Waste Services, Inc. from October 2008 until its acquisition by BIN in July 2010.  He has over 35 years of involvement with the waste management industry.  Under Mr. DeGroote’s leadership, Laidlaw Inc., became the third largest waste management company in North America.  After selling his controlling interest in Laidlaw to Canadian Pacific in 1988, Mr. DeGroote was appointed to CP’s Board of Directors until he resigned in 1990.  Mr. DeGroote was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1991 and holds an Honorary Doctorate degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

Daniel M. Dickinson 2 3
Director

Mr. Dickinson joined BFI Canada Income Fund’s Trustees in 2005 and has served as a member of IESI Corporation's board of directors since 2001. Mr. Dickinson is a Managing Partner of Thayer Capital Partners, a private investment firm located in Washington, D.C. Mr. Dickinson is on the Board of Directors of The Brown Corporation of America, Heckethorn Manufacturing Company, Morton Weldings Inc. and Quadel Consulting Corporation. Mr. Dickinson has a J.D. and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, magna cum laude, from Duke University.

Douglas Knight1 2 3

Mr. Knight was appointed president of St. Joseph Media, Inc. in December of 2006 following his return to Toronto from New York, where he served as the founding chairman and CEO of ImpreMedia, LLC, the largest Spanish language newspaper company in the United States.  A 30 year media executive, Mr. Knight is the former publisher and CEO of both The Financial Post and Toronto Sun.  He has served on numerous arts, industry, community and corporate boards in Canada and the US and is currently a director of Xstrata Canada Corporation and a trustee of the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Foundation.

Daniel R. Milliard 1 2 3

Mr. Milliard was the Chief Legal and Business Development Officer at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital from July 2005 to June 2006, the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Natural Convergence Inc. from December 2003 to May 2004, the Chief Executive Officer of GT Group Telecom Inc. from September 1999 to February 2003 and President, Chief Operating Officer and a director of Hyperion Communications from May 1992 to March 1999 and from March 1999 to August 1999 Vice Chairman and President. Mr. Milliard is a graduate of The Directors College Chartered Director program. Mr. Milliard was also Chief Executive Officer of GT Group Telecom Inc. which was acquired by 360 Networks.

Michael H. DeGroote 
Director

Michael H. DeGroote was appointed a Director of CBIZ, Inc. in November, 2006. Mr. DeGroote currently serves as President of Westbury International, a full-service real estate development company, specializing in commercial/industrial land, residential development and property management. Prior to joining Westbury, Mr. DeGroote was Vice President of MGD Holdings and previously held a management position with Cooper Corporation.
Mr. DeGroote serves on the Board of Governors of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Michael H. DeGroote is the son of Michael G. DeGroote.

John Dillon
Director

John T. Dillon is a Senior advisor of Evercore Partners and former Vice Chairman of Evercore Capital Partners an advisory and investment firm. He is the retired Chairman and CEO of International Paper.  The Board believes that Mr. Dillon’s experience as chief executive officer of a large, publicly-traded multinational corporation, his financial expertise and experience as a director of large publicly-traded multinational corporations enables him to provide meaningful input and guidance to the Board and the Corporation.
